Coming Home

Two days after his birth, on his due date, we got to take our tiny little toy home with us. It was such a surreal moment to finally see him sitting in the carseat that had been in the back of our car for the past few weeks.

I held him in my lap as they wheeled us out to our car. It felt a little like I was being let out of prison. I was so excited to get me and my baby out of there and into our cozy home.

We weren't exactly sure what to do with him when we brought him inside, so naturally we sat him on the dining room table. ;)

Then we decided he needed to try out his crib. He looked so tiny in it!

Then we did a lot of this: just staring at him.

I mean, how could we resist? Just look at him.

Mom, Terri, and Brittany spent the week with us and helped us out tremendously! I was waited on hand and foot. Finley got lots of love and attention. It was a blissful week.
